Based on the definition of an issue,
IssueBridge
provides a central repository for you and your organization to store
and maintain solutions to problems you face on a daily basis.
While using IssueBridge during the issue resolution lifecycle, you will
be entering descriptive information as part of your issue
tracking activities. The information stored within this issue
tracking is a valuable asset of your organization. IssueBridge
assists you with the management of your knowledge assets.
When you deploy IssueBridge within your organization, you immediately
start building a knowledge base of your domain experience. This
repository of knowledge can prove to be very valuable to your
organization down the road. By searching the IssueBridge
repository, you may identify a previous solution to a similar problem
previous experienced. The resolution of that similar problem may
significantly shorten the resolution of the problem you are
experiencing. During the use of IssueBridge for issue tracking
and defect tracking, you are simultaneously building your
organization's knowledge assets. The effective organization of
these assets with IssueBridge is called knowledge management.
Knowledge Management
There are many definitions of Knowledge Management. AIAI, the
Artificial Intelligence Applications Institute of Edinburgh, UK
provides the following lucid and logical definition:
If
you consider the knowledge and experience that you, your team members
or your employees develop during the course of their work as Knowledge
Assets, then Knowledge Management is the identification, analysis,
control and use of those assets for the betterment of the organization.
